Description |
The lecture provides a survey of modernist literature in Britain and Ireland, taking in important cultural contexts and cognate artistic developments, with some glimpses of European literary hallmarks. Connecting with the lecture on Victorian Literature and Culture of Summer Semester 2012, the period covered extends from late Victorian times through the rupture symbolized by the First World War and ends roughly with the post-war years of World Ward II. |
