I. Literatures and Cultures in English: Hot Spots for Examination Candidates
(16:00 18:00)
The first part of this course provides and opportunity for examination candidates to test, present and discuss their knowledge on specific areas of their exam preparations in class and profit from constructive criticisms and feed-back. There is also the possibility to work on and discuss literary and cultural issues of wider significance and general relevance. Priority access to the course is granted to students just before their examinations, but others are welcome.

II. Research: Strategies, Essential Theories, Close-ups (18-19 oder n.V.)
The second part of this course is for doctoral students only and for MA/Staatsarbeit-candidates by personal invitation. It offers a forum for reports on progress with dissertations, for work on and discussion of specific issues in literary and cultural theory which is relevant to the work of the participants. In its development, this course is also aimed at offering interdisciplinary meetings and doctoral candidates from other departments are most welcome to present their work as far as time allows.
