Description Virginia Woolf is clearly one of the most outstanding literary figures in Britain as a daringly innovative writer, as a pioneer of both women's writing and women's rights, and as a personality of awe-inspiring scope and cultural importance. Her novels, short stories and other writings will be studied in this seminar in the context of the writers and artists of the "Bloomsbury Group" where she was a major influence and inspiration.
