Contents
Description What are the values underlying criticism and our practices of reading? What is the relationship of morality and literature? What are the functions of literature vis-à-vis social, philosophical and ethical values in general, and in a multicultural, multiethnic and at the same time global world? How do values become literature and how is literature translated into values? Questions of this kind will be sought out and pursued in this seminar, drawing on an interdisciplinary set of theoretical approaches, but also looking at selected works of literature in close detail.
