Description John Dryden and Alexander Pope, between them, constitute much of what is seen today as the neo-classical tradition in British literary history, most notably in drama and verse. This seminar will explore their major works, analysing and discussion the most important approaches and readings in recent literary criticism.

Enrolment:
1.) Personal enlistment at in the secretariat (Frau Wahlig) 21.-25. Januar 2008. List of accepted participants will be posted on the blackboard by Wednesday, 30 January 2008; OBLIGATORY introductory meeting on FRIDAY, 8 Feb: 2008, 16.00-18.00 in H19.
2.) Enrolment under HIS-LSF (http://uvlsf.uni-muenster.de/).
Literature Bibliographical References will be provided at the obligatory introductory meeting on Feb 8, 2008, 16-18, in H19.
