Die erste Veranstaltung für alle Teilnehmer der Angewandten Kartographie (auch, wenn eigentlich nur die Übungen belegt wurden), ist die erste Vorlesung am 13. April, 10:15 Uhr!
Die Übungen beginnen erst in der 2. Vorlesungswoche (20. April, 12:15 Uhr).
Die Vorlesungen finden im Hörsaal, die Übungen in den drei StudLabs statt.
This practically oriented course teaches knowledge in the field of map design using ArcMap. Students will design one topographic and one thematic map.
In detail, the subjects are
- Cartographic Basics:
- Loading maps and dataset
- Selecting map layers and views
- Selecting and changing coordinates
- Organizing figure and setting colors
Map Making and Production
- Choosing qualitative or quantitative symbols
- Selecting classification methods for symbols
- Practicing advanced symbology technologies
- Improving map labels
- Creating and editing annotation
Topographic map:
- Creating map layout
- Adding essential map elements
- Publishing map
Thematic map:
- Discussing with partner and deciding topic and data source
- Drafting major points in editorial plan |
