This course is on the semantic analysis of trajectory data (e.g. of spatial-temporal GPS data or data from magnetic compasses of mobile devices). In the first sessions of the seminar, we will have an introduction to the topic and a scientific insight in different recent research approaches. Afterwards, we will apply our knowledge to a current research project on spatial learning with geogames. On the basis of study data, we will analyze the behavior and strategies of primary school students solving navigational map reading tasks.
Basic knowledge in R and/or Python is required for translating your ideas into code.
