This course provides students with an overview of senior IT/IS executives’ responsibilities in managing the adoption of IT in organizations. Lectures introduce the students to typical IT/IS management tasks such as strategic IT/IS planning, strategy implementation, or the sourcing and organization of the IT/IS function. The lectures will also acquaint students with methods and techniques to deal with these tasks effectively. Finally, in additional exercises, students practice the application of these techniques. Students have to prepare the case studies for the exercises in group work. The course will be held in English.

Teachiing mode:

# Given the very positive feedback from last year, lectures will be offered as audio-video-podcast.

# The accompanying exercises and tutorials will take place in small-group settings in presence.

# Exercises will be offered in a hybrid mode, so that students can also participate online.

Dedicated literature will be offered for download via Learnweb.

The recommended textbooks are available in the library of the IS department.
