Kommentar: | In this project seminar we will implement simple PDE solvers with a focus on efficiency. In particular, we will investigate how the choice of programming language, parallelization strategy and algorithmic optimizations affects performance and how these factors depend on the chosen PDE problem and discretization method. While participants should have some experience in implementing a basic PDE solver, advanced programming skills are not expected. Individual projects will be chosen based on the participants' programming skills and interests. |
